Program Leader Art Therapist (independent contractor)

Wellspring Cancer Support Foundation is a network of community-based support centres offering programs and services that meet the emotional, practical and physical/functional needs of people living with cancer and those who care for them.

The ideal individual would provide group facilitation for Wellspring’s art therapy program at Wellspring Birmingham Gilgan House in Oakville, Ontario.

This is an independent contractor position and ideal for someone who has private practice or part-time work.

The ideal consultant will bring the following skills: Must have relevant education or training (preferably graduate level), with a minimum of three years’ professional experience Have specific training or experience in working with those with chronic disease and/or cancer Be a member in good standing with the appropriate college Have a minimum of three years direct, professional leadership experience in a group setting (in addition to experience that may be gained as a student) Have previous group-based leadership experience with individuals who have a significant emotional or physical health issues Experience leading art-based programming If you are a registered art therapist and have the above qualifications and would like to support Wellspring’s mission of helping individuals and families living with cancer, please apply to Eva Thurlow with cover letter and résumé at humanresourceswellspring.ca.
