This role will require a candidate who can both work as an individual contributor as well as someone who can manage and work with a remote team of IT leaders to help orchestrate a complex enterprise system. Position Description
This is a new role working across the enterprise, ensuring a holistic vision of our IT and digital properties and the end-users. This role will work across IT, digital, cross line of business teams, brand, marketing, and executive leadership, aligning the vision and roadmap to meet best practices and ensuring work streams meet and exceed defined goals, budgets, and deadlines.
The Global IT Manager is a leadership position responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of carrier-grade infrastructure, cloud and network architecture and engineering. This includes developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly network infrastructure, server infrastructure, data communications, and telecommunications systems. The Global Manager, IT and Infrastructure will schedule and direct activities to resolve hardware and software problems in the corporate offices as well as customer locations.
We are looking for someone with 6+ years of managing and delivering infrastructure design.

Work with the CTO and CEO to define infrastructure roadmap, determine risks, standardize company IT, and use policies and procedures to enable
Ensure documentation, best practices, policies, processes, and procedures are adhered to.
Prepare and monitor IT operational budgets that meet prevailing objectives and constraints.
Manage all IT service requests for the delivery of infrastructure and IT services.
Manage incident management, triage, and resolution of issues
Maintain strong relationships with business groups and their leaders across the enterprise, and develop a detailed understanding of their issues, challenges, and opportunities
Hire, develop, evaluate, reward, and retain a highly qualified team of IT professionals
Design, plan, implement, and maintain computing infrastructure that supports the company’s operations and business applications
Establish appropriate service levels and processes to ensure that KPIs are met
Execute comprehensive enterprise information security programs to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of relevant data
Ready organization for IT security audits or investigations
Design and implement enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plans

Key Requirements:
Strategy & Planning
Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements
Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for infrastructure administration and project management.
Participate in the development of IT strategies in collaboration with our Leadership team.
Conduct research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all infrastructure procurement and development efforts.
Establish service-level agreements with business units.
Technical leadership
Provide technical leadership to the technology team, including architects, engineers, and technicians.
Develop technical standards and processes to ensure a consistent and reliable infrastructure.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as software development, operations, and business units, to understand infrastructure requirements and provide technical guidance
Communicate effectively with senior management and stakeholders, providing updates on infrastructure initiatives, performance, and risk mitigation strategies.
Project management:
Oversee planning, design, and implementation of infrastructure projects, including carrier-grade infrastructure, cloud, cell towers, radio communications, and network architecture and engineering
Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
Budgeting and Resource Management
Prepare and manage IT infrastructure budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and optimal resource allocation.
Evaluate and select vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships to meet service-level agreements.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimization to enhance operational efficiency.
Acquisition & Deployment
Prepare RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, scope of work reports, and other documentation for infrastructure projects and associated efforts.
Negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure infrastructure-specific products and services.
Assist with the planning and deployment of infrastructure security measures.
Operational Management
Manage and set priorities for the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of all infrastructure systems, including LANs, WANs, Internet, intranet, security, wireless implementations, and more.
Conduct feasibility studies for various upgrade projects, improvements, and other conversions.
Define hardware and software standards in conjunction with owners and stakeholders.
Test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining network infrastructure
Test server performance and provide network performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining server infrastructure
Manage operational costs; conduct near- and long-term financial forecasts for expanded functionality/user base.
Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s executives, decision-makers, stakeholders, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent infrastructure activities.
Practice IT asset management, including maintenance of component inventory and related documentation.
Direct and administrate a contingent of network analysts and technicians, and where necessary, conduct performance reviews and corrective action.
Regulatory compliance:
Ensure that IT and OT infrastructure complies with all relevant regulations, standards, and safety requirements
Work closely with the Legal and Cybersecurity team to ensure that the organization meets all necessary requirements
Required Experience
6+ years experience in Information Technology
2+ years experience as a technical leader/manager (up to 20 individuals) supporting corporate IT functions
Expertise in providing corporate IT services, governance, and scaling services
Expertise in complex systems design and troubleshooting techniques
Experience with Azure and AWS, cloud and hybrid-cloud delivery
Expertise in cloud computing, data center operations, computer hardware, including servers, networks, firewalls, SAN technologies, I/O subsystems, etc.
Demonstrated ability to design and implement comprehensive approaches to cyber security and risk management
Demonstrated ability to recruit, hire and motivate a high-performing IT team that values transparency and accountability
Project management skills, with experience managing large-scale IT infrastructure projects.
Excellent negotiating skills with internal customers and external service providers
Proven ability to build trust with others through a commitment to the highest ethical and professional standards
Demonstrated experience with SaaS, cloud-based, and outsourced solutions
Experience in interpreting the applicability of local and federal laws/regulations to company operations
Qualifications
Formal Education & Certification
BS/MS Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent experience required.
Microsoft Certifications required
Relevant certifications for the Director, IT, and Infrastructure may include:
