Laborers/ Asphalt operators

Job Description

This position involves manual task including, but not limited to, the following: shoveling, sweeping, lifting, pushing and pulling various objects and raking. Willingness to learn to operate various equipment, such as skid steer, backhoe, pavers, rollers, etc. Must be safety oriented and exhibit safe work habits. Be self motivated and willing to learn new skills. Be a team player.

Responsiblities Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures, using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task. Preform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in heavy/highway construction projects. Assist in patching asphalt with hot/cold mix, coordinate backing of truck and dumping asphalt into paver. Must have ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noise. Must be able to lift 75 pounds. Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Coulson Excavating Co Inc. is a contractor that performs underground utility, grading & paving projects. We own and operate two asphalt plants, located in Loveland CO.
