Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Supervisor to lead and support the production department in achieving operational excellence for a leading food production facility. We are committed to delivering high-quality products while ensuring food safety and adhering to industrial safety standards.

Job Responsibilities:

Lead, plan, organize, and control the operation of the shift to ensure efficient production processes.

Measure and evaluate key performance and productivity targets, including staffing levels, against established standards and goals.

Monitor the performance of equipment and machinery in collaboration with the food production and engineering teams, promptly reporting equipment malfunctions to the maintenance team.

Train, develop, and coach production leads employees to enhance their skills and improve performance.

Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and good manufacturing processes (GMPs) at all times.

Comply with FDA, HACCP, and SQF standards, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.

Lead interactions with local, state, federal, and third-party inspectors, providing necessary documentation and addressing any concerns or issues.

Monitor, manage, and improve employee productivity, providing constructive feedback, coaching, and progressive discipline as needed.

Review and maintain accurate time records for all employees on the shift.

Prepare and submit performance reports, highlighting key metrics, achievements, and areas for improvement.

Ensure adherence to legal and company policies and procedures, taking appropriate disciplinary actions when necessary.

Identify and resolve employee, customer, and supplier concerns promptly and professionally.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma is required; Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in food production, preferably in a supervisory role.

Minimum 7 years of supervisory experience in any industry.

Previous experience in food processing, manufacturing, and operations procedures is highly desirable.

Demonstrated respect, approachability, and teamwork while building strong working relationships and fostering a positive work environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: 10-hour shifts, (1st shift)
