Job Description:

Stellantis’ Software Organization (SWX) was established to build the most captivating experiences in the latest frontier of Automotive Technology. You will get opportunity to work on Software defined vehicle architecture, which will shape future of mobility. Stellantis has a goal to build Connected Services / technology to enable always-connected and up-to-date services via regular over-the-air (OTA) updates, keeping vehicles fresh, exciting, and updated years after they have been built – 34 million connected Stellantis cars are expected by 2030, and we aim to have all new vehicles to be fully configurable and OTA capable by 2024. We work backward from delightful and productive customer experiences and build a software services platform to enable the development of value-added customer services, subscriptions, and features on demand, to enable Stellantis’ goal of generating 20 billion euros in software-related revenue by 2030.

The individual should be an experienced technical leader, have the ability to contribute to a strong competent team that can work laterally and across multiple meta functions. The team will be global and will support all Stellantis applications utilizing the Agile methodology.

The responsibilities of the Connected Vehicle - OTA Offboard and LWM2M Validation Engineer, include but are not limited to the following:

Create test plans defining scope, timeline, feature list and validation approach.

Review daily/weekly changes in requirements, user stories, change requests to create and update test cases.

Execute API tests using Postman/Swagger and other tests using ECU simulation, test benches, and vehicles.

Create and update defects in defect management systems, including detail for version, steps to recreate, expected and actual result, log files are required.

Execute weekly defect retesting and root cause analysis for identified issues.

Update test status report daily with test results, identified issues.

Contribute to team training material, engage in cross team development.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in development and/or validation of software in automotive applications.

Experience with LWM2M Protocol Required

Familiarity with Over-the-Air (OTA) update processes in automotive systems.

Good analytical problem-solving skills.

Experience with creating Test Strategy, Test Plans, Test Procedure, Test Cases, Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM), management of Bug reports, Collection of Logs and Test reporting

Proficiency in creating and executing automated test scripts to validate software updates efficiently.

Previous experience in automotive software validation, firmware testing, or related roles.

Understanding of automotive ECUs (Electronic Control Units) and in-vehicle networks, as well as how software updates impact these systems.

Strong debugging skills to identify and troubleshoot issues related to software updates.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including software developers, system architects, and quality assurance teams.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex issues that may arise during the validation process.

Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate test results, issues, and recommendations to various stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of automotive safety and cybersecurity standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 26262, ISO/SAE 21434) is a plus.

Familiarity with Protocols: MQTT, CoAP, DTLS

Knowledge of Embedded OS (QNX, Embedded Linux and Android Auto)

Proficiency in programming languages like C, C++, Python, or scripting languages commonly used in test automation.

Understanding of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and diagnostics protocols (e.g., UDS).

Knowledge of wireless communication technologies, including cellular networks (4G, 5G) and Wi-Fi, as these are commonly used for OTA updates.

Familiarity with industry standards related to OTA updates, such as OMA DM, AUTOSAR, IEEE 802.11 (Wi-Fi) and other relevant standards in the automotive domain.

Experience with testing tools and frameworks for software validation, such as Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, or other similar tools.
