Formulation Scientist

Summary :

This position is for our Application Lab in Innovation Process where we are looking for a formulation expert who can execute hands-on laboratory work by developing skin care, hair care and oral care products following best laboratory practices which can include variety of cosmetics and over the counter products (OTC) from concept/ideation to finished product based on project needs.

Role Description :

Develop new & innovative formulation solutions with GSL and other ingredients including formulation library

Explore new trends and develop formulations based on micro and macro consumer trends and expand the use of GSL ingredients in different applications than existing one.

Lead the application product development and commercialization.

Perform stability studies, competitive &consumer trends analysis.

Support internal evaluation and clinical testing, customer specific development projects and the regional sales team.

Support and troubleshoot customer projects, current product launches by creating formulation kits.

Provide technical guidance on formulation and raw materials to customers and sales team.

Research prior patents and support internal patent process.

Maintain and manage R&D Laboratory and equipment

Required Skills and Competencies:

Strong technical background in formulation across categories and understanding of Skin and Hair Biology is essential for the role. Candidate must have an excellent understanding of consumer trends and customers needs to develop targeted formulations and products, along with exceptional interpersonal skills to collaboratively work with customers, sales, and cross-functional global teams.

Education/Experience:

Minimum of a MS Degree in Chemistry/Cosmetic Science or related fields

6-8 years formulation development experience in personal care industry
