Key Responsibilities:

Assist in Developing Procurement Strategies: Collaborate with the Procurement Manager to develop procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives. Provide input and recommendations for improving procurement processes and procedures.

Supplier Management: Maintain and cultivate relationships with existing and potential suppliers. Evaluate supplier performance, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with terms and conditions. Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Procurement Operations: Oversee day-to-day procurement activities, including purchase order processing, vendor selection, and supplier evaluation. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide guidance on procurement best practices.

Contract Management: Review, analyze, and negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions for the organization. Monitor contract performance and resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise.

Budgeting and Cost Control: Assist in developing procurement budgets and forecasts. Monitor spending against budgetary constraints and implement cost-saving initiatives where possible.

Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement activities. Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks to protect the organization's interests.

Team Leadership and Development: Provide leadership and guidance to the procurement team. Delegate tasks, set performance objectives, and conduct performance evaluations. Identify training needs and support the professional development of team members.

Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports and analysis on procurement activities, including spending patterns, savings achieved, and supplier performance. Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree/Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 8+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.

Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and techniques. Familiarity with procurement software and systems is preferred.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and compliance standards governing procurement activities.
