Service and Installation Technician- Fire Alarm Systems
Seeking candidates with a passion for safety and a proven track record in the field of Fire Alarm Service and Installations.
Responsibilities:
Install and program new Fire Alarm systems for commercial clients.
Ensure proper system installation per manufacturer or specified project requirements.
Service existing fire alarm systems.
Install cabling, field devices and controls according to the specifications.
Ensure proper programming per design and/or project management directions.
Test and verify all alarm, signaling, auxiliary and panel functions for proper operation.
Review and understand thoroughly CAD drawings, schematics, vendor installation sheets.
Train customers on how to use the system.
Work Independently and sometimes with others.
Train and mentor junior installation technicians
Coordinate with managers and other team members to ensure that the installations are completed accurately and according to the schedule.
Maintain truck stock.
Working knowledge of volt meters, butt set and tone generators.
Install and program security systems.
Install and program CCTV systems.
Install and program access control systems.
Ensure all safety protocols are followed.
Work on an On-call rotation.
Qualifications:
Min 5 years' experience with low voltage system repairs/installations (Required)
Min 2 years experience in Fire Alarm installation, service, security, maintenance, or other related fields (Preferred)
Familiarity with hand and power tools
Ability to program the Fire Alarm and other low voltage systems after installation.
Ability to handle physical work.
Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
Strong work ethic
Strong attention to detail
Driver's license/good driving record
Good Background
NICET certification (Preferred but not required)
