Job Summary
Cuts, shapes, edgebands, and organizes wood and wood based parts for assembly, using various woodworking equipment including CNC Router, Sliding Table Saw, Fixed Table Saw, Edgebander, Planer, Miter Saw.
General Accountabilities
> Runs system generated work orders on the CNC Router to cut parts out of sheet goods (melamine, particle board, plywood, MDF).
o Reviews work order before cutting to ensure that all materials are organized on the lift to complete the order.
o Reviews each sheet layout before cutting to ensure that all necessary tools are in place to complete the sheet.
o Watches tool changes to make sure the proper tool is selected to make each cut.
o Adjusts feed rate and spindle speed as necessary to ensure clean cuts and no part movement on the table.
o Applies part ID stickers before removing cut parts from the table, and organizes parts by product.
o Deals with offcuts by placing smaller pieces in the trash bin and usable pieces in the rack. Cleans table for next sheet.
o Periodically resurfaces or replaces spoilboard.
> Completes the work order cut list by manually cutting various parts that do not get cut on the CNC, including toe kick parts, cleats, and any parts that may have
been damaged during the CNC run.
> Sets up and runs the edgebander to prepare cut parts for assembly.
> Performs periodic maintenance on all machining equipment.
> Organizes incoming sheet goods and solid stock, and stores them in the appropriate storage bin using a forklift.
> Empties or assists with emptying all trash bins and dust collector barrels.

Job Qualifications
> Education: High school diploma or equivalent
