Responsibilities:

Are you ready to manage a highly skilled team and push them to greatness? As a Technical Delivery Manager, we’ll look to you to provide strong leadership to drive delivery. You will be managing large scale enterprise level initiatives using Agile principles at scale. You will curate and implement portfolio management practices that balance the portfolio of our investments and continuously align them to our strategic vision.

Oversee agile delivery of Product priorities. Ensure appropriate planning, coordination and communication with affected teams and business stakeholders from planning to release. Identify blockers and take action to get them resolved.

Lead the team to balance refinement activities alongside sprint deliverables so as to maintain a healthy backlog at all times. Ensure Jira is up to date at all times: issues are linked in the right order, status and comments are up to date.

Track status of releases, bugs, blockers, risks. Own the communication to Business Stakeholders and coordination between product and engineering teams. Be proactive about the communication.

Engage with Business Stakeholders. Understand their needs, priorities, and concerns. Proactively push actionable executive summaries of statuses and risks.

Stay aware of upcoming maintenance (patching, etc.) that will impact environments associated with your teams' work. Coordinate with teams to minimize disruptions.

Onboard new team members. Obtain access, add to communication channels, and share documentation and training.

Discuss and set Team Operating Agreement. Ensure team respects and does not deviate from the agreed items. Conduct team retrospectives and amend to it as needed.

Facilitate Agile ceremonies. Know and uphold their unique purposes. Follow through by taking appropriate action on all issues that arise.

Monitor delivery health trends. Track the metrics that are the best indicators of high-performing teams. Make them readily available so that teams understand how their daily behaviors influence the trends. Have a good sense for Quality and Speed of delivery ensuring the team is hitting the OKRs without compromising on code quality or introducing defects.

Manage vendor relationships. Measure and hold vendors accountable to meet project timelines, Product expectations, and Engineering standards.

Qualifications:

Education

Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in related field or equivalent experience

Skills/Experience

5+ years of experience in Process or Project Management

2+ years of experience working with SAFe / scaled agile framework principles preferred

Experience with Atlassian suite of tools, specifically Jira and Confluence

Experience implementing or working with a Lean Portfolio Management Organization

Experience working closely with software development teams

PMP certification preferred, but not required

Travel Requirements

Low level of domestic U.S. travel required (up to 10% of time)
