McLeod Centers for Wellbeing is accepting applications for a Full-Time Physician Assistant and/or Nurse Practitioner to provide patient-centered care to float as needed among its Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) programs in the Western North Carolina regional facilities (Hickory, Statesville, Lenoir, Marion).

What does this position do for the agency? The position is responsible for the following, with other duties as assigned:

Admit clients to all substance use disorder treatment modalities (primarily MAT services)

Medical assessment as required, including medical and substance use history and physical exam.

Order medical tests and medications as clinically indicated.

Assessment of medical problems with appropriate referral and coordination of care.

Maintenance of proper documentation required by regulations and contracts.

Provide on-call services as required by the medical director.

Education/Experience:

Valid North Carolina PA or NP License.

High degree of attention to detail.

EKG interpretation.

Full unrestricted DEA licensure.

Buprenorphine waiver (X number).

NC Controlled substances database access.

Required Skills:

Excellent communication skills exhibiting team-oriented collaborative approach with both patients and staff members.
