We're hiring a Director of Business Control for the Americas Region at UPM Raflatac in Asheville, North Carolina, USA, offering a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in accelerating UPM's growth and success by driving digitalization, providing valuable business insights, and embracing change. You'll collaborate with regional leadership, support financial management, ensure effective processes and governance, drive profitable growth, and ensure compliance with local laws and UPM's guidelines from a financial perspective.

What you will do

You'll lead a team of Business Controllers and Financial Analysts spanning the US and Latin America.

You'll work closely with the Americas Management Team to drive growth and profitability, taking charge of financial management in the region.

Serving as the primary liaison between the Americas, SBUs, and UPM's global Finance and Control organization, you'll ensure seamless collaboration on finance-related matters.

You'll streamline finance processes in the region by partnering with UPM Global Finance Process teams.

You'll provide financial insights for strategic decision-making, oversee business control activities, support sales management in maximizing profitability, implement pricing best practices, optimize working capital usage, and uphold compliance with local laws and UPM's standards.

Who you are

You're well-versed in business control tasks like performance measurement, reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.

Integrity is paramount to you, and you actively promote compliance and process enhancements.

As an independent and strategic thinker, you embrace change and innovate processes. With strong leadership and influencing skills, you thrive in diverse, global teams.

Developing teams for effective business support is your forte. You possess deep knowledge of financial analysis, modelling, and business case evaluation, with experience in advanced analytics tools.

Skilled in project management, you adapt positively to change and excel in presentations for business management.

You hold a Bachelor's degree in finance or related field with at least 5 years of experience in a financial leadership role. A Master's degree is a bonus.

Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time
