Job Purpose: Provide analytical and technical support to the North American Purchasing Department by assisting in organizing and awarding supplier contracts.

Additionally, you will work with suppliers on purchasing materials and maintaining accurate contracts to generate and implement efficient sourcing & category management strategies.

Key Responsibilities Analytical Focus: * Project Analysis – Utilize all resources to gather, organize, analyze and verify project details.

* Analyze and calculate cost scenarios, savings and cost increase impacts, develop ways to improve, and drive cost reductions to complete projects.

* Trend forecasting on National items, consumed items, and commodities.

* Monitor SAP Material Master Items, Supplier Info Records & price maintenance supported by this position.

* Spot research/monitor site purchases and accts payables to ensure processes, procedures and contract purchase compliance.

* Manage and track Corporate Purchasing’s National Agreement and Contract database.

Buyer Focus: * RFI, RFP and RFQ National Supplier sourcing/negotiating events.

Participate & assist Corporate Purchasing in key sourcing negotiations.

* Manage, monitor, track commodity indices & negotiate National pricing with Suppliers.

* Manage, monitor and negotiate manufacturing consumed goods/parts with Suppliers.

* Guide procurement of National items and communicate guidelines with the Plant Buyers, Controllers, Maintenance, and Plant Managers.

* Assist with key Corporate Purchasing projects as needed.

Requirements * Strong Project Management skills and ability to managing competing assignment and priorities effectively.

* Procurement and supplier negotiation experience.

(In a manufacturing environment preferred) * SAP or ERP network knowledge * Attention to details; cause and effect outcome of those details across all domestic manufacturing sites.

* Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft office software (emphasis in spreadsheets, data entry & formulas) for cost analysis and indices tracking.

* Comfortable deciphering product specifications and working with figures.

* Strong communications skills while sustaining relationships in stressful situations.
