Assistant Clinical Director
Location: Asheville, NC
The Assistant Clinical Director responsibilities include the oversight of the functions and staff of the Asheville Team Therapists and will work under the guidance of the Clinical Director and Managing Director. The Assistant Clinical Director will ensure that residents are receiving resident-centered, family-involved, team-supported recovery experience and they will ensure that recovery planning includes measurable goals. They will also serve as the lead clinical staff with the Clinical Director is away.
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm

Pay: Starting at $68,400 per year and increases based on experience
Responsibilities:
Ensures all residents have individualized Seven Domains Recovery Plans.
Develops a trusting, authentic working relationship with each new resident and resident’s therapist to form a core clinical team
Supports the Team Therapists in developing a respectful relationship with their residents’ family member and/or external care providers
Guides team in whole-person care and collaboration within the recovery team and direct care staff
Develops and leads each of the residents’ Recovery Team which includes leading meetings and consistent communication among clinical and nonclinical team members
Provides crisis support and intervenes to avoid hospitalization
Oversees resident transition timelines and facilitates advanced planning of resident transitions.
Works from a strength-based approach, using Motivation Interviewing and other modalities
Hires and trains new Therapists in collaboration with the Clinical Director
Conducts in-depth training, reviews the Training Manual, and sets up shadowing and training for new Team Therapists and conducts ongoing training and coaching
Coordinates team participation in the Family Education Program
Manages training budget for the team and provides relevant continuing education resources and coordinates outside trainings
Participates in clinical on-call
Provides support and leadership in the Clinical Director’s absence
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in clinical counseling, social work or related field
NC License as LCSW, LCMHC, or LMFT
3-5 years of experience in the field
Experience supervising case management or clinical services
