The Scheduling Coordinator will be responsible for leading the registration/scheduling staff in their daily functions. . They will be responsible for updating the Business Manager Anesthesia Director, Clinical Leaders, and staff memmbers with new surgeon information and changes in scheduling processes.

Schedule: (full-time), 6:00am-2:30pm, Monday-Friday (No Holidays Required)

Must have flexibility in hours to assist when needed.

Responsibilities

Oversees the daily functions of the scheduling and registration area. The daily functions including, but are not limited to; pre-registration, registration, scheduling, chart assembly, greeting all families, physicians and visitors, and directing them as necessary; and providing a smooth admission process.

The functions of the main scheduler is to be the resource for registration/scheduling staff by answering question and or concerns regarding registration, scheduling and resolving customer and surgeon office's concerns.

Develop expertise in the utilization in Epic Scheduling System with the capability to train new employees. Performs end of month review to address problems that arise, such as scheduling issues with surgeon offices.

Reports issues to Business Manager and Clinical Leaders so they can be addressed timely.

Is responsible for staffing issues with Business Manager is out of the office.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

High School diploma or equivalent.

SKILLS:

Proficient in Microsoft Office. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Interpersonal skills necessary to deal with the public in a polite and effective manner

EXPERIENCE:

Two years previous secretarial experience in the medical office setting; surgical scheduling experience preferred. Previous experience with filing, medical terminology, and coding.
