Salary: $80,000 - 95,000/year We are seeking a talented and experienced Materials Engineer with expertise in Thermoelectric materials synthesis.

The Materials Engineer will play a key role in developing and optimizing thermoelectric materials for energy conversion applications.

Responsibilities

Thermoelectric Materials Synthesis:

Design, develop, and synthesize thermoelectric materials with enhanced properties for energy conversion applications.

Conduct experiments, analyze data, and optimize synthesis processes to achieve desired material characteristics and performance metrics.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate thermoelectric materials into prototype devices and systems.

Characterization and Analysis:

Perform characterization and analysis of thermoelectric materials using techniques such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and thermal conductivity measurements.

Interpret experimental results, identify material properties, and correlate with synthesis parameters to guide material optimization efforts.

Material Testing and Evaluation:

Conduct material testing and evaluation to assess thermoelectric properties, including electrical conductivity, Seebeck coefficient, and thermal conductivity.

Design and execute experiments to evaluate material performance under varying conditions, such as temperature gradients and operating environments.

Process Optimization:

Optimize synthesis and processing parameters to improve material properties, performance, and scalability.

Implement quality control measures, document procedures, and ensure reproducibility of synthesized thermoelectric materials.

Research and Development:

Stay current with advancements in thermoelectric materials, synthesis techniques, and related technologies.

Contribute to research projects, publish findings in scientific journals, and participate in conferences and industry events.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in materials science, chemical engineering, or related field.

Proven experience (1+ years) in thermoelectric materials synthesis, characterization, and analysis.

Strong understanding of thermoelectric principles, material properties, and performance metrics.

Hands-on experience with synthesis techniques such as solid-state reaction, ball milling, and spark plasma sintering.

Proficiency in materials characterization techniques, including XRD, SEM, and thermal conductivity measurements.

Experience with data analysis software (e.g., MATLAB, Python) for data interpretation and modeling.

Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
