In NC, we operate three pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities that are responsible for fulfilling different steps in our injectable and oral treatment supply chains. Our legacy Injectable Finished Products (IFP) facility in Clayton, NC is a 457,000 square foot aseptic "fill and finish" site that is responsible for producing innovative, injectable diabetes and obesity treatments. The Position

Management & local oversight for taxes, treasury, risk & grant functions of NNPILP. The position will advise, support & assist the organization in the fulfillment of local, regional & global responsibilities in finance, accounting, tax & treasury outcomes.

Essential Functions

Indirect Tax Management & Direct Tax Support:

Management of indirect taxes (sales & use, property, ethanol, etc.)

Oversee the preparation, filing & payment of all indirect tax returns, directly or in coordination with GBS

Preparation & filing of indirect tax questionnaires, notices & audits

Preparation of monthly account reconciliations for all indirect tax accounts, directly or in coordination with GBS

Oversee the local financial & tax related matters with the state, county & local incentives/grants

Support corporate tax initiatives on indirect taxes; participate in regional indirect tax forum inclusive of report outs to regional & corporate indirect tax teams

Support direct tax filings, forecast & audits

Support NNPILP income targets as required by ‘arms-length’ standards or Advance Pricing Agreement (APA), as requested

Local Treasury Management:

Manage long term income projection models

Manage local cash flow position & performance (short- & long-term projections)

Partner with business units to prepare financial forecast for tax & treasury

Risk Management/Other:

Oversee local grant reporting program to government entities

Oversee local risk program as related to business insurance

Support NNI or NN A/S, as needed

Finance liaison for the different business units (DFP, DAPI, OFP, Global, etc.)

Support financial audits & inquiries

Support ad hoc projects as required by local, regional, or global stakeholders

Provide support, assistance & back-up to all finance processes, as assigned

Support Business Support in activities designed to streamline, automate, or otherwise improve processes

Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties

Other accountabilities, as assigned

Physical Requirements

Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. (% can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role).

Qualifications

Bachelor Science in finance, accounting, economics, or related field from an accredited university required

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or advanced degree such as Masters in lieu of CPA certification required

Minimum five (5) years of public accounting experience or minimum ten (10) years of corporate finance/accounting experience in private industry (or equivalent combination) required

Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred

Finance acumen required

Strong analytical skills required

Knowledge of business processes in manufacturing & operations, preferred

Strong ability to think strategically, required

Proficiency in MS office products & working knowledge of databases & spreadsheets for use in tax applications preferred

Strong SAP experience preferred

Effective communication skills with colleagues at all levels required

Presentation skills required

Ability to establish credibility & influence with diverse audiences required

Strong process improvement, problem solving & organizational skills required

Highly motivated & energetic, willingness to lead projects & take initiative required

Ability to manage & prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment & to navigate between business areas within the legal entity required

Able to develop & manage action plans to achieve targets required
