A technology lead needs to quickly embrace and the technology development principles and standards of a complex application in such a way that it can be easily evangelised across newly to form teams. Next to that the Application Development lead needs to identify key improvement areas in technology delivery or testing so that we can iteratively increase the performance of the teams.

The Lead has hands-on involvement in the delivery, like preparing the foundation / blueprint of a solution to get a smooth project bootstrap and provide technical leadership to engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.

As an Application Lead at Hexaware, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing robust and scalable solutions for our clients. You will be responsible for leveraging your expertise .NET technologies both legacy and modern looking back on 20+ years of Microsoft technologies. You will collaborate with clients, project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of leading best practice.

Responsibilities of an Application Lead within Hexaware include:

1. Collaboration and Consultation:

? Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements, technical constraints, and objectives.

? Work closely with project managers and development teams to ensure successful project delivery.

? Provide technical guidance and consultation to clients and project teams.

1. Microsoft Specific Knowledge, you:

? Work with the Microsoft .NET Message Queues

? Write parsers for XML and XSLT for message translation

? Program in C# .NET Framework and .NET core

? Need to be able to work with ASP.NET WebForms, ASP.NET MVC

? Know how to work with Windows Communication Foundation and Windows Workflow Foundations

? Comfortably write MS SQL Queries

1. Additional knowledge as a benefit, you:

? Do front-end development using Angular and like to integrate with a wide landscape of REST APIs

? Have broad experience with Git and Git tooling

? Know how to integrate with Java Messaging Services (JMS)

? Have worked with WebSphere Message Queues for Financial messaging based on ISO20022 and ISO 15022.

? Know how to consume SOAP Web Services

? Know how to work with the FIX Onyx protocol.

1. Domain knowledge:

? The application lead will be working in the Financial Services domain.

? Knowledge of trading platforms is good addition and knowing how integrate with Swift Payment Gateways and structure Swift 15022 and 20022 messages is a great asset.

1. Development Knowledge, it is a pre if you:

? Have worked with containerized clusters using Kubernetes

? Know how to deploy application using Chef

? Manage automated build pipelines using TeamCity but are also not afraid of Azure DevOps

Knowledge and thinking level:

Bachelor or Master with 8+ years of relevant IT experience in a complex environment is preferred but not required. Experience in the Digital Services Industry, with at least 3+ years of experience on driving software architecture design responsibility and ownership.

Agile SCRUM

Thorough understanding of the stakeholder landscape that the Product Owner represents and the challenges this involves. Support the evolving architecture design alongside the backlog development.

Teamwork and cooperation

As a consultant and senior person, our actions can derail a project and influence our team members severely. It is our mandate to communicate with the right level of professionalism.

Coaching Skills

Lead, coach and train developers, act as a domain expert in the IT organization with helicopter view of the solution design. Facilitates the development of teams by (for example) knowledge sharing, architecture example illustration and challenging assignments. Think small and dream big together with the team.
