Job Title: Accounting Manager

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Position Overview: The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations of the company, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, optimizing financial processes, supporting strategic decision-making, and overseeing HR and payroll functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Tasks:

Provide leadership in all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting.

Assist with financial operations including invoicing, processing payments, and tracking expenses.

Reconcile credit card and bank accounts regularly.

Manage accounts receivable and oversee collections processes.

Monitor financial performance against established targets and make recommendations for improvement.

Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies that support the overall goals and objectives of the company.

Financial Reporting:

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other reports as required by company leadership and the Parent company.

Compliance and Legal Oversight:

Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations across business operations.

Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and implement necessary changes in company procedures.

Assist in the preparation of legal documents and contracts, and liaise with legal counsel as required.

Apply for necessary licenses and certifications.

Manage general liability and auto insurance.

Coordinate with the legal team on collections, liens and other legal matters.

Attend BBB and court mediation hearings.

HR Oversight:

Oversee HR functions, including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with HR policies and procedures.

Support the recruitment process by assisting with interviewing and onboarding new staff.

Manage terminations and the offboarding process.

Maintain employee records, manage benefits administration, and ensure compliance with employment laws.

Payroll:

Manage payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.

Stay current with payroll regulations and implement necessary changes in payroll procedures.

Collaborate with HR to ensure seamless integration between payroll and HR functions.

Supply and Inventory Management

Oversee the procurement and maintenance of office supplies and equipment.

Regularly review and manage inventory levels to guarantee the availability of essential supplies.

Order communication devices such as phones and iPads for employees.

Facility Management

Maintain the office environment to high standards through regular checks and the coordination of security, cleaning, and maintenance services.

Manage vendor and service provider relationships to ensure competitive pricing and high-quality services.

Internal Communication:

Keep staff well-informed about significant company policies and operational updates.

Client Interaction:

Efficiently resolve client inquiries and issues, escalating complex matters to the appropriate management level as needed

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

Minimum of 8 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.

Exceptional financial analysis and modeling skills.

Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

High level of integrity and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
