PALS, Inc. is a leading provider of services for adults with intellectual disabilities and who may have a history of trauma. We are presently looking for a person who is well-versed in the functions of human behavior and has experience working with with adults who may have socio-emotional challenges with intellectual disabilities. The Simi Valley office has an excellent, highly skilled professional staff who make the work fun!
Although this is a non-supervisory role, the successful candidate for this position will work directly with participants in the program and will have the opportunity to develop into a leadership role should their behavioral and communication skills prove exceptional. This is ideally, a full-time position, Monday-Friday, between 8 am - 4pm. No weekend hours. Part-time is available for the successful candidate.
The candidate for this project enjoys a challenge and has experience working with people who have a history of trauma and who may exhibit the requisite behavioral excesses and deficits. Preference is given to those holding or completing a degree in psychology, or a related field, and possessing another relevant, specialized licenses and certificates.
