Quality Control Associate, Cell Culture Support

BioPhase Solutions specializes in recruiting top talented professionals for Southern California's Scientific community. We are currently looking for a Quality Control Associate, Cell Culture Support to work for a leading Greater Los Angeles area biopharmaceutical company.

Salary: $65-80k depending on experience

Summary:

The QC Associate will participate in sample preparation teams and support operations such as cell culture, lab equipment preventive maintenance, buffer preparation, supply inventory management, and general support tasks in order to allow the lab to continuously operate. The position may provide additional assay support as needed. Important aspects of this role include excellent organization skills, flexibility, and the ability to thrive in an efficient, highly interactive, goal-oriented team environment.

Responsibilities:

Cell Culture, Lab Maintenance, and Lab Support Functions Quality Systems and Documentation Support

Prepare investigation reports, including those related to quality events (OOS, deviation, etc.)

Maintain and operate QC laboratory equipment in a cGMP-compliant manner.

General maintenance of the laboratory including ordering and receiving QC materials

All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelors/Masters of Science degree in Biochemistry or related discipline (recent grads high encouraged to apply!)

2+ years of relevant experience in the Biotechnology industry with emphasis on quality control testing preferred

Good interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Working knowledge of QC testing requirements, methodology, and equipment such as UV-Vis Spectroscopy, and PCR. Prefer a detailed pipetting experience.

Knowledge of cGMP, FDA, and USP regulations and a basic understanding of statistics.

Knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
