Salary:

A Medical Appointment Assistant and Transporter is responsible for transporting and escorting individuals with developmental disabilities to and from their medical appointments, accompanying individuals while on their appointment, discussing individual’s needs and follow up with medical professional. Responsible for ensuring Physicians Report is completed and in hand before leaving the medical facility, as well as any other pertinent documentation, to include physicians’ orders and prescriptions. Responsible for ensuring all documentation is submitted to the Home Manager upon completion of the appointment. Must maintain confidentiality and ensure individuals are free from abuse, neglect, and or exploitation.

Minimum of a high school diploma or GED and experience working with adults with developmental disabilities or similar field. Must have the ability to verbally communicate, read, write, and interpret documents and instructions in English. Valid Florida State Driver’s License required, must have/maintain an acceptable driving record

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

8 hour shift

Monday to Friday

Education:

High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

working with people with disabilities or similar field: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

Drivers License (Required)
