Job Title: Trade Lane Manager

Immediate Supervisor: Managing Director

Job Purpose:

Responsible for generating sales revenue through aggressive sales and customer care. To professionally provide transportation and logistic solutions and guide the customers with regards to products and services to match their requirements. In addition, constantly follow the market trends through regular market and competitor analysis, in order to provide the management with the latest market trends and requirements.

Responsibilities

Expansion and further development of the core business of the company, the focus to be on the expansion of the responsible Trade Lanes and on customers in the France & Maghreb trade lane.

To work on all the Air/Ocean products and logistics solutions; this includes both the acquisition/coordination of new business and the expansion of existing business within the framework of the specified corporate strategy

Development of a trust-based, effective and efficient cooperation with the Trade Lane partners

Knowledge transfer for the assigned trade lane; communication of strengths, weaknesses, USP's and products to the organization

Independently preparing, organizing, implementing and following up on national and international sales trips and marketing campaigns

Independent preparation, organization and follow-up of regular reviews with the Trade Lane partners with the aim of continuous growth of the Trade Lanes

Market analyses and competitive monitoring with the aim of deriving profitable and sustainable measures (positive Gross Margin effect)

Early identification of market and product trends; development and implementation of measures, primarily decided by customers in Germany (in cooperation with product management)

Lead the execution of RFQ's, i.e. create the strategy, roadmap and executive steps required to win customers and proactively support product, tender, operations and supply chain management

Initiating and leading the implementation of an internal and external Continuous Improvement Process in the area of responsibility

Correct, accurate and efficient application of the computer systems used (CRM TSE)

Additional tasks assigned by Line Manager

Skills & qualification required

Bachelors degree in related field or combination of education and experience.

Minimum 5 years working experience in Freight Forwarding/ Logistics industry

Strong air and ocean product knowledge, working experience in air or ocean operations

Fluent in French & English language, both verbal and in writing, Arabic will be an advantage.

Job Context:

Internal: Operations/Customer Support, Account teams, Accounts

External: Customers, Overseas offices, Agencies, Partner companies and vendors, Mainly out doors.
