Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our high-performing finance team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, and forecasting. You will be expected to develop and maintain accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. This position involves tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation, and the support of budget and forecast activities.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.

Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, and report variances.

Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.

Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.

Research technical accounting issues for compliance.

Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.

Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Additional duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.

5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a leadership role.

Strong understanding and knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Demonstrated ability to improve processes and enhance operational efficiency.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

CPA or MBA preferred but not required.
