A services company in Virginia is currently seeking a new IT Network Technician for a promising opportunity with their growing staff.
Responsibilities:
The IT Network Technician will:
Work with vendors, end users, project teams and take direction from the Site IT Lead to create new and support existing network solutions across the site
Evaluate new technologies working with IT Architects and service providers to create standards and solutions in the infrastructure space
Oversee manufacturing system integration, including design, build and implementation of manufacturing IT network infrastructure
Perform other duties, as needed
Support general purpose and manufacturing business network systems sitewide
Support network security and business infrastructure for facility
Configure network switches, routers, SDWAN, etc.
Troubleshoot LAN/WAN infrastructure
Maintain and upgrade network cabling within the Data Center and building cabinets
Manage requests and incidents within a service desk tool
Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
Knowledge of Active Directory, Domain Controllers, Process Control Networks, etc.
Familiarity with Wired and Wireless Network Architecture
End user support and customer service experience
Experience with Windows 10 and 11 deployment and troubleshooting
General familiarity of firewall technology, configuration, rules, etc.
Experience working in DMZ and Process Control Networks
Great interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized
