FACEM Educator

They treat 12,000 acute inpatients and 17,000 Emergency Department patients per year. It provides general surgical, medical, obstetrics and gynaecology, urology, ophthalmology, dentistry, endoscopy, gastroscopy, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy and paediatric services with visiting sub-specialty services including urology, vascular, ENT, paediatric surgery, upper GI surgery and IVF. There is a Critical Care Unit that provides ventilation and haemofiltration. Surgical services are supported by both specialist and general practitioner anaesthetists.

The Emergency Medicine Consultant will provide senior Medical Support, in conjunction with other medical officers, in Emergency Medicine.

Provide clinical and educational support in this role for the oversight of the emergency department workforce.

Up to 1.0 FTE is available; part time and job share applications will be considered.

Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Emergency(FACEM), or other

Postgraduate clinical training, qualifications and experience assessed by the ACEM as being fully or partially comparable to an Australian physician andSuitable for an Area of Need physician appointment.
