Welder / Metal Fabricator

Based in Geelong Victoria, Thornton Engineering is seeking to recruit experienced and qualified Welders/Metal Fabricators at their location in Corio VIC 3214.

The successful applicants will:

Have a willingness to work

Strong attention to detail

This role will include but not limited to:

Heavy wall pipe fabrication

Plate fabrication

Structural steel fabrication

Preparation, cutting, welding, grinding, drilling

Skills & Attributes:

Cert III in Engineering Fabrication or equivalent

At least 3 years’ experience as a welder or related trade

Ability to read and interpret drawings to a high standard

Safety first attitude

Carbon and stainless steel experience essential

Proficiency in MIG, TIC and Arc welding

Salary range is $70,000 - $90,000pa commensurate with experience
