Registrar - Psychiatry

The Registrar will be predominantly based in Shepparton caring for inpatients and outpatients. Most mental health programmes are located at the Graham Street site. Registrars may be required to work offsite including clinics in Shepparton outside hospital campus, visiting Seymour or Cobram and performing home visits.

You will be joining one of the largest regional health provider in Victoria and have access to excellent facilities, career enhancement and teaching opportunities.

They are supported by a wide range of subspecialties. Within medicine these include general medicine, respiratory, infectious diseases, cardiology, gastroenterology, nephrology, haematology and oncology. The surgical department includes general surgery, orthopaedics, ENT, maxillofacial and paediatric surgery. Other specialties include paediatrics, psychiatry, ophthalmology and obstetrics/gynaecology.

Child-care centres here are in abundance and are dedicated to the safety and stimulation of children. Schools in the area are all well equipped and provide the highest level of education, with an excellent reputation for achieving outstanding academic results.

Requirements:

Candidates will need to hold General Registration with AHPRA as a Medical Practitioner OR be eligible for Limited Registration with AHPRA and have at least 3 years of relevant experience .
