We are looking for someone to join our dispatching team! Unique Repair Services is looking to grow our team. You will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing the transportation of our technician from one location to another. The primary role involves planning efficient routes, assigning drivers/vehicles to specific tasks, and ensuring timely delivery/service. Providing the best customer experience.

Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented dispatcher/routing specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently coordinating the transportation of technicians to provide services to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction. The dispatcher/routing specialist will play a crucial role in optimizing routes, assigning drivers/vehicles, and resolving any issues that may arise during the transportation process.

Responsibilities:

1. Plan and optimize service routes to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.

2 Coordinate with drivers, delivery personnel, and other team members to ensure timely pickup and delivery of goods or services.

3. Assign drivers routes.

4. Monitor vehicle locations and delivery statuses in real-time using GPS tracking systems or other software tools.

5. Communicate with drivers and customers to provide updates on delivery schedules and address any issues or concerns.

6. Resolve any routing or scheduling conflicts that may arise during the transportation process.

7. Maintain accurate records of route assignments, delivery schedules, and driver performance.

8. Collaborate with other departments, such as operations, and customer service, to optimize overall transportation processes.

9. Stay informed about relevant regulations and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience as a dispatcher, route planner, or similar role in transportation, or related field.

2. Proficiency in using routing and scheduling software, GPS tracking systems, and other transportation management tools.

3. Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment.

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with drivers, customers, and team members.

5. Problem Solving abilities and the capacity to make quick decisions under pressure.

6. Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements is preferred.

7. Hight school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training a plus.

Work Environment:

Our dispatcher/routing specialist will work in our office in Des Plaines, IL.
