Role + Responsibilities
Generate new and repeat sales and increase sales and average order size by cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and services as well as offering promotional sale items
Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability, or specifications, and provide product and technical information in a timely manner
Proactively recommend correct products and solutions needed by the customer to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability
Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes, or returns in IAC’s NetSuite CRM/ERP and our manufacturers.
Provide accurate information regarding availability of in-stock items, keep customer, and contact records up to date and accurate in NetSuite CRM/ERP
Follow up with customers to review quotations and ensure we have met all their expectations, and perform ongoing follow ups to resolve any complaints
Fill requests for catalogs, information, or samples, and monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed
Remain current on consumer preferences by attending sales meetings, vendor training, trade shows, or reading trade journals, and educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products
Qualification + Profile
Associate degree in a technical field or business concentration as a minimum.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred
Minimum 2 years in similar position preferred
Minimum 1 year in a progressive position (2 years preferred)
Product/applications experience required.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and distribution software.
Wholesale distribution experience preferred, and knowledge of industrial and municipal markets is a plus!
Excellent customer service skills, time management, interpersonal skills, problem solving, analytical ability
The ability to work effectively and with others in a fast-paced environment
