General Description:

The Program Evaluator participates in a range of evaluation and monitoring activities for specified grant-funded programs and initiatives.

Responsibilities

Specific Responsibilities:

Program Evaluation

Assists with implementation of evaluation processes in collaboration with program staff and director of program evaluation

Performs data cleaning as well as qualitative data coding

Performs descriptive and inferential analyses to determine program effectiveness, program impact, and identify population trends.

Assists with development of evaluation reports and summaries for internal stakeholders and administrative agencies.

Works with director of program evaluation to fulfill all grant/contract requirements including meeting approved work-plan deliverables, submitting requisite data and reports in a timely manner.

Participates in development of qualitative data collection tools and collecting qualitative data through focus groups and interviews with patients and community members in our priority populations

Evaluation Research and Multisite Evaluation

Participates in joint evaluation activities with multisite and external evaluation requirements

Assist with implementation of evaluation tools and strategies used in research studies, providing training and guidance to staff as necessary to assure that effective evaluations are conducted.

Participates in development of qualitative data collection tools and collecting qualitative data through focus groups and interviews with patients and community members in our priority populations

Assists with all aspects of evaluation research protocols, including protocol submission, continuing review, modification, and close-out to obtain and maintain institutional review board (IRB) oversight. Required Skills

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Understanding of relational databases and experience with office software.

Demonstrated experience in the design and conduct of program evaluation studies.

Interest in and/or demonstrated ability working with qualitative data, quantitative data, and/or evaluation-related software (R, SAS, SPSS, Stata, Excel, Dedoose, NVivo, SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics)

Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to function in a team setting and to communicate effectively with staff at program and leadership levels.

Superior oral and written communication skills, including experience writing technical, analytic and evaluation reports.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree required

Master's degree in a quantitative area of specialization, program evaluation, public health, research methodology, statistics, or relevant field preferred

Experience working with non-profit and/or grant programs

Demonstrated experience in developing reports and data visualizations
