Responsibilities:

Coordinate communication between the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food orders.

Monitor the progress of food preparation and assembly, ensuring all dishes meet quality and presentation standards before leaving the kitchen.

Expedite orders during peak service times, prioritizing based on table assignments and customer preferences.

Collaborate with chefs and line cooks to resolve any issues or discrepancies with orders, ensuring seamless execution and customer satisfaction.

Maintain a clean and organized expediting station, including ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are readily available.

Communicate special requests, dietary restrictions, and allergies to kitchen staff to ensure accurate meal preparation.

Assist with plating and garnishing dishes as needed, maintaining consistency and adherence to recipe standards.

Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations at all times.

Provide support to the front-of-house team during busy periods, including bussing tables, refilling drinks, and assisting with guest inquiries.

Uphold the Maü Miami brand standards of excellence in service and hospitality at all times.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a food expeditor or similar role in a high-volume restaurant environment preferred.

Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for quality and presentation.

Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, with a customer-focused attitude.

Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with colleagues.

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

High school diploma or equivalent.
