Monitoring and reconciling customers and vendors ledgers including regular reporting on the balances
Completing financial reports on a regular basis and providing information to the Head of Finance
Assisting with budgets preparation and review
Bank reconciliations review and preparations
Managing company ledgers and accounting records on SAPB1
Processing business expenses;
Verifying balances in the accounting books and rectifying discrepancies
Managing day-to-day financial transactions.
Monitoring business expenses with the approved budget;
Monitoring petty cash and reconcile records
Supporting Head of Finance with various tasks as may be required
Supervising Filing and maintaining accounting and financial documents accurately and timely;
Processing remittances to head office, other subsidiaries, processing exchange loses and gains correctly on SAPB1
Preparing and presenting monthly credit management reports as well as organizing credit management review meeting with the Market Unit Credit Management
Handling accruals and prepayments and monthly reporting on same;
Supervising Sorting of financial documents and postings to proper accounts;
Supervising of filing and maintenance of customers’ Rental Contracts, dunning letter, lawyers correspondences with customers and other financial instruments
Monitoring and collection of receivables including issuing dunning letters
Preparing and processing payments of Statutory Deductions (PAYE,NHF & Pension) including submission of accompanying schedules to relevant bodies and PFAs
Accurate and timely preparation of VAT Memorandum Records and reconciliations and returns to avoid penalties and ensuring they meet reasonability checks.
Requirements:
A First Degree in Accounting and 3 years working experience in a Finance or Accounting Department.
Working Experience in an Auditing and Accounting Firm is a must.
Data entry; Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Excellent Skills With Microsoft Office; Payroll
Experience; Experience in Balance Sheet Account Preparation; Proficient in Accounting entries principles
Detail Oriented; Organized; Timely; Competent IT Skills; Strong Bookkeeping and credit management skills; Knowledge of Business Math; Understanding of Budgetary Principles
Strong Written and Oral Communication Skills.
