The role is part of the KeysightCare Customer Support Organization, delivering post-sales customer support directly to key customers and strategic partners. The KeysightCare Technical Support Application Engineer is a key player in the customer value-chain and you are critical in supporting our customer’s technical problems.

We are looking for an RF&µW Wireless application/product specialist engineer who can demonstrate a broad knowledge of instrumentation, applications and technologies..

Typical applications represent testing of electronic components, digital modulation in wireless communications as well as a wide range of signal analysis and RF/MW applications. Your knowledge of measurement automation applications to solve connectivity problems is key.

You will be a key contributor to the KeysightCare EMEAI regional strategy and will work across KeysightCare to lead projects requiring coordination with other functions, customers, third parties.

The successful candidate must demonstrate a real passion for customer success and enjoy taking on complex technical challenges working in a customer-facing deep technical environment.

Responsibilities:

Engage with customers, sales and/or service representatives across EMEAI to deliver post-sales customer support, solving technical questions of varied scope and complexity.

Provide timely and effective remote pre and post sales technical support, solving technical problems of varied scope and complexity

Share technical expertise across the EMEAI team and write technical articles for the customer knowledgebase

Close cooperation with the Keysight product engineering, software and solution centres. The technical support application engineer is the technical interface between the customers and the Keysight Worldwide support team.

Take proactive actions while interacting with customers in terms of solving current questions or addressing potential future needs.

Develop into the Component Test knowledge expert within KeysightCare for products and solutions

Proactively eliciting feedback from Keysight customer base regarding product functionality and quality and communicating with Product Management and Development teams for integration in the form of actionable deliverables

Qualifications:

Must have

Bachelor and/or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent in electronics and communications engineering or similar.

At least 2 years relevant experience working in Spectrum Analysis and Signal Generation

Is familiar with different modulation techniques and wireless technologies.

Good understanding of modern Signal Analyzer measurements beyond Spectrum analysis like, Phase Noise, EVM, EMI, Noise Figure or Noise Floor.

Good understanding of RF/µW fundamentals with practical experience using RF/µW test equipment.

Good understanding of the generation, demodulation, and analysis of digital communication signals.

Requires customer facing experience, preferable in technical support, and ability to work independently.

Strong level of English language required, both written and verbal.

Nice to have

Brings experience of wireless physical layers and knowledge of protocols like 5G NR, LTE, ORAN or WiFi

Basic instrument programming skills with SCPI and instrument drivers with C++, C#, VEE, LabView, Python, MATLAB ® or VB, are an advantage.

Strong organisational skills, ability to multi-task, prioritise and work well under pressure.

Extra languages are an advantage.

Understands the local market, customer needs and dynamics, strong communicator who can positively interact with customers.
