Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
1. QA Policies & Standards:
- Implement quality assurance policies and procedures
- Iterate and improve existing quality standards to enhance the organization's quality level
- Develop and document QA testing procedures and best practices
- Train employees on quality standards
- Ensure team adherence to the corporate quality standards
- Identify deviance of internal approaches from standards, and suggest modifications to ensure compliance to internal standards
2. Management of QA Process:
- Plan, execute, and oversee testing for quality and conformance to specifications and deliverables
- Provide guidance to the teams on quality matters
- Design test plans and test cases
- Implement test plans and report results
- Create and manage detailed test cases based on specifications and product requirements
- Coordinate testing efforts
- Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes
- Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with release scope, milestone plan and delivery dates
- Investigate reports of product quality issues and ensure resolution in accordance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements
3. Testing:
- Conduct technical, functional, and regression tests of developments
- Perform routine inspections and quality tests
- Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers
- Validate bug fixes and conduct regression tests
4. QA Documentation:
- Document test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards
- Create or maintain documentation of known test defects
- Document quality assurance activities with internal reporting
5. Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and resolve process and production issues
- Create test scripts to automate test cases and conduct routine tasks
- Provide feedback and recommendations to developers to improve the production process and product quality
- Design or develop automated testing tools
- Make recommendations for improvement
6. Reporting
- Analyze quality metrics, identify trends, and derive countermeasures to keep or improve existing quality levels
- Conduct historical analyses of test results
- Generate QA reports as part of the production process to ensure reasonable test coverage and high quality standards for determination of release readiness
7. Collaboration
- Be part of and engage in Scrum ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Retrospectives, and more
- Participate in business requirements reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems
- Be an advocate for excellent quality perception and coach quality values
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders to understand and manage quality expectations
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
· Proficiency in best practices for QA management, testing, and defect management
· Deep knowledge of QA terminology, methods, and tools
· Proficiency in Quality Assurance tools and software
· Proficiency in SAP EHS – ideally experienced with 3E ERC and/or 3E Optimize
· Understanding of agile/scrum methodology and how QA functions within it
· Strong attention to detail
· Excellent organizational and methodological skills
· Analytical mindset with quality metrics interpretation ability
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Collaborative approach with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
