Salary: $110,000 - 160,000/year This position allows for 3 days per week remote / work from home.

Responsibilities

Financial Management:

Oversee all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Manage cash flow, accounts receivable, and accounts payable to ensure optimal financial health.

Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to maintain compliance and efficiency.

Reporting and Analysis:

Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.

Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to senior management for decision-making.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to assess company performance.

Audit and Compliance:

Coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.

Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.

Software Management:

Utilize Sage 300/Timberline software to manage accounting processes, project costing, and reporting.

Train and support finance team members in using software effectively.

Evaluate and recommend software enhancements or upgrades to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Financial Planning and Strategy:

Assist in developing financial strategies and long-term financial plans to support business growth.

Collaborate with senior management to evaluate investment opportunities and capital allocation.

Provide financial insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Controller or in a senior finance role in the construction industry.

Proficiency in Sage 300/Timberline software and advanced Excel skills.

Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.

Experience in managing audits, financial reporting, and compliance activities.
