Manager Design

Responsibilities:

- Design and develop seasonal collections of shirts and jackets that are aligned with

current trends and brand's aesthetic

- Conduct market research and trend analysis to stay ahead of the curve and identify

opportunities for innovation and growth

- Create mood boards, sketches, and design presentations to communicate ideas

eIectively.

- Create original prints and patterns that are both visually appealing and commercially

viable

- Work closely with raw materials team to select appropriate woven fabrics, trims, and

embellishments that align with design concepts and quality standards

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including merchandising & product

development to ensure design feasibility, commercial viability and consistent brand

message

- Work closely with the product development team to ensure that designs are translated

into high-quality, production-ready garments

- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our target customer and design with

their needs and preferences in mind

- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and emerging trends, and apply this

knowledge to design decisions

- Meet deadlines and deliver designs on time, with a focus on attention to detail and

quality

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field from NIFT or Pearl

- 8+ years of experience in menswear design, with a focus on men’s shirts and jackets

- Strong portfolio that showcases your design skills and attention to detail

- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud specifically Illustrator and Photoshop with a sound understanding of Microsoft excel & procreate

- Exceptional abilities in trend spotting and conducting research with proficiency in print & pattern development.

- Excellent communication, presentation and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

- Strong understanding of our brand's aesthetic and values

- Must have PLM and CLO 3D experience and knowledge.

Nice to Have:

- Experience with textile design and development

- in-depth understanding of fabrics and raw materials

- Sound understanding of denim fabrics & laundry processes

- Knowledge of production processes, garment costing and manufacturing techniques

- Familiarity with sustainable design practices & materials

- Experience working with a fast-paced, deadline-driven design team
