Senior Accountant, Corporate Reporting

About Our Client:

Our client is seeking a professional Senior Accountant, Corporate Reporting with a minimum of 3+ years of industry or firm experience ideally in Big 4 and/or residential real estate.

Responsibilities

Execute month-end and quarter-end closing procedures

Work with the US internal team during month-end and quarter-end close, review results, and support the transition from US GAAP to IFRS

Organize account reconciliations and variance analytics

Submit journal entries such as eliminations, intercompany and more

Support corporate financial statements, MD&A, and supplemental disclosures

Support new joint ventures and securitization transactions

Create and manage financial statements for internal and external stakeholders

Strong understanding of IFRS and other accounting standards

Onboard and train junior staff.

Assist with special and ad hoc projects as required

Qualifications

Must be a CPA or on track to become a CPA

Minimum 3 years of industry or firm experience (Big 4 preferred)

Residential real estate experience (ideal)

Background of IFRS accounting and financial reporting

Background of US GAAP accounting (ideal)

SOX experience (ideal)

Experience working with consolidation and elimination entries (ideal)

Excellent communication skills, detail-oriented and professional

Ability to work both independently and with a team
