Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Supply Chain Manager with expertise in bill of materials (BOM) management, planning, and have the ability and vision to take our current state to the next level. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain optimization, along with exceptional leadership and managerial skills. As a Supply Chain Manager, you will lead a team responsible for end-to-end supply chain operations and play a pivotal role in taking our department to the next level of performance and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

Develop and execute strategic initiatives to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and agility of the supply chain function.

Provide visionary leadership to the supply chain team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Set clear goals and objectives for the department, aligning them with organizational priorities and business objectives.

Bill of Materials (BOM) Management:

Oversee the development, maintenance, and optimization of bill of materials (BOM) for all products in our portfolio.

Ensure accuracy and completeness of BOM data through regular audits and cross-functional collaboration.

Implement best practices and standard processes for BOM management to streamline workflows and improve data integrity.

Inventory Planning and Optimization:

Lead the development and execution of inventory planning strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs while ensuring product availability.

Utilize advanced forecasting techniques and demand planning tools to predict inventory requirements accurately.

Drive initiatives to improve inventory turnover, reduce excess and obsolete inventory, and enhance overall inventory management practices.

Production Planning and Scheduling:

Collaborate with production teams to develop optimized production schedules aligned with demand forecasts and inventory targets.

Implement robust production planning processes to minimize lead times, optimize resource utilization, and improve production efficiency.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives in production planning and scheduling to increase throughput and reduce cycle times.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the performance of the supply chain function.

Monitor departmental performance against targets and benchmarks, analyzing trends and identifying areas for improvement.

Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, providing insights and recommendations to drive strategic decision-making.

Team Development and Mentoring:

Build and develop a high-performing supply chain team, providing coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.

Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.

Identify talent gaps and skill deficiencies, implementing training programs and talent development initiatives to enhance team capabilities.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree; equivalent experience will be considered

7+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with a focus on BOM management, planning, and optimization

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop actionable insights.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.

Proven track record of driving process improvements, cost savings, and operational efficiencies within the supply chain function.

Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, demand planning software, MRP systems).

Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles and continuous improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
