Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Production Manager, Fabric, the Sewing Operator operates a sewing machine and performs sewing operations on a variety of fabrics per provided specifications. The sewing machine operator adheres to the electronic schedule board of all sewing projects to ensure products are ready for shipping as scheduled. *Hiring full-time and seasonal sewing operators*

Responsible for the operation of a production style sewing machine to sew performance flags, props, costumes, etc. and performs all setup for specified jobs.

Responsible for reporting all equipment concerns or maintenance needs to Production Manager, Fabric.

Responsible for reading and understanding the job ticket/work order and performing sewing on variety of fabrics per provided specs.

Responsible for packaging each completed job in thermal sealed pockets and prepare for shipping as directed.

Responsible for adhering to the electronic schedule board of all sewing projects.

Responsible for communicating with Production Manager, Fabric on all scheduling issues daily.

Responsible for monitoring raw materials inventories of required threads, needles, bobbins and other accessories as required.

Responsible for following and complying with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED preferred and/or three to six months experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Requires the ability to operate a production style, double needle sewing machine.
