Sr. Full Stack Software Engineer - Agtech Startup

(ideally about 50/50 front/backend; can be up to 70% front/backend depending on your preference)

Location: you can either work remotely or in the company's offices in San Francisco and New York.

The company's product involves agtech, fintech, and a marketplace. The company's product makes a positive impact on the farming and food ecosystem including reducing costs, raising efficiency and productivity, raising food quality, and positively impacting the environment.

The company has raised series A funding from top tier investors. Revenues have been growing rapidly (at 20% quarter over quarter). The company has 90 employees and 15 engineers and is growing rapidly.

The company will pay up to $230k in salary, plus equity which could be lucrative.

Job Responsibilities:

- Working on big, full stack, greenfield projects.

- Working with the tech stack of Node.js, React, and TypeScript. Experience with the tech stack is not required as long as you are interested and able to learn.

- Working at a fast pace, deploying many times per day.

- Designing and building scalable, secure system architectures.

- Aggressively scaling the platform to support hundreds of thousands of users.

- Rapidly building various fintech features.

- Working with event driven architectures.

- Working on the messaging platform.

- Integrating APIs of industry leading products.

Qualifications:

- Love and passion for the craft of software engineering.

- At least 4 years (more is better) of professional software engineering experience as a full stack engineer.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Either: 1) Skill in Node.js, or 2) Skill in Python or Java or C# or Ruby or PHP, and willing/able to learn and primarily use Node.js.

Nice to have:

- Startup experience.

- SaaS experience.

- Fintech experience.

- Experience with Node.js, React, and TypeScript.

- Understanding of security.
