The Falkbuilt Philadelphia branch is a highly entrepreneurial team serving the greater Philadelphia + Tri-State markets (in addition to national work). Our team is small but growing, passionate, and go-getting.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as an Technical 3D Revit Designer / Modeler. We are looking for someone who is skilled at architectural walls and millwork, with experience in construction, who can confidently communicate in front of design firms and clients. This person will be accountable for creating designs that win projects.

This is a highly collaborative, tight-knit office where you will work closely with others both in person and virtually. This role is best suited for an experienced designer/modeler who is both detail and action-oriented, has a strong desire to win, excels at multitasking and juggling multiple projects, and is skilled at responding to feedback.

Job Description:

Working cohesively with Falkbuilt HQ and Philadelphia Branch teams, you will manage architectural wall designs by developing and working off project sketches, architectural drawings, or models. You will realize those designs in both 2D and 3D formats: including renderings and flythroughs for client presentations.

Responsibilities:

Promote and share Falkbuilt’s strengths with existing and potential clients

Help define project scope and objectives with all relevant stakeholders and ensure technical feasibility

Meet with clients to create detailed visual and written communication to clarify specific requirements

Use Revit with a Falkbuilt-specific add-in to draft design drawings, including renderings, 3D models, flythroughs, and submittal drawings.

Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects

Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis

Manage and execute design assignments promptly and meet milestones and deadlines

Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs

Conduct site dimensions and evaluate site conditions for construction projects

Provide regular project status updates to Falker and stakeholders

Have a strong sense of the Falkbuilt culture and promote it internally and externally

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture, PLUS 4 years of architectural detailing experience

Experience with architectural walls, millwork, locks, hardware and door schedule

Hands-on experience w/ Revit is required – Experience using Revit/design drawing logic to create an architectural construction set including floor plans, elevations, electrical plans, architectural details, door & finish schedules

3D Revit proficient

Strong understanding of the construction process and job site conditions. Construction documentation capability

Outgoing personality and willing to present to clients

Technical know-how of drawings

A creative self-starter with the ability to solve problems individually and as part of a team

Aptitude with technology and willingness to learn and improve every day

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and willingness to learn Project Management software and other technologies to enhance our client experience

Strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple fast-paced projects

Ability to read construction documents and specifications

Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work closely with all the stakeholders and Falkers (in your Branch and at HQ) and make sure the client has a positive experience with us.

Ability to learn new technologies, including plug-ins to existing design software

Strong communicator, team oriented

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working on architectural drawings for construction, with specific experience in architectural walls preferred

Experience with Revit required - 3D Revit proficient. (Enscape, SketchUp, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite experience a plus)

Experience with Revit model management – loading families, Revit versioning, Revit model saving/sharing best practices.

Experience reviewing submittal drawing packages for architectural coordination

Experience translating sketches and CAD/Revit documents into realized 3D models and images

Experience with designing for millwork

Experience conducting site dimensions, and evaluating site conditions + constraints for construction projects

Trained in diverse platforms to work on a variety of project types

Able to research solutions to either artistic or technical issues when they arise

Must be adaptable and willing to embrace new technologies to help improve the design and construction process

Great presentation skills and enjoys being in front of clients

Action-oriented doer with a strong desire to win as a team
