Salary: $65,000 - $75,000

Responsibilities:

- Ensure ARL-EuTech QC analytical testing operations comply with company and regulatory agencies' pharmaceutical testing regulations.

- Manage onsite chemistry and medical device team, ensuring compliance Good Laboratory and current Good Manufacturing Practices (GLP/cGMP), ISO, ICH guidelines, and FDA regulations.

- Supervise and lead the analytical chemistry testing team, including performance review, coaching, and hiring.

- Ensure Good Documentation Practices (GDP) are followed.

- Collaborate with the Quality team to address non-conformances and implement timely and effective corrective and preventive actions.

- Actively participate in professional growth, strategic planning, and leadership meetings.

- Evaluate operational progress based on established KPIs and submit monthly management reports.

- Interface with clients and serve as a backup scientist for analytical chemistry or medical device testing, as necessary.

- Work closely with the Senior Management Team to develop and manage the laboratory budget.

- Oversee maintenance of instrumentation and ensure timely and compliant reporting of results.

- Assign personnel to optimize team growth and retention, client satisfaction, and overall efficiency.

- Maintain current inventory and coordinate the effective use of laboratory resources.

- Write, review, and revise SOPs and set KPIs for Team Leads and periodically present metrics to senior management.

- Facilitate continuous improvement projects, build efficiencies and maintain a state of organization and cleanliness in the laboratories on-site.

- Demonstrate accountability and responsibility for all areas of stewardship.

- Conduct regular team meetings for growth, feedback, and issue resolution.

- Collaborate with Business Development and Partnerships teams to assist partners with testing services.

- Provide technical communication and recommendations to Business Development and Partnerships teams.

- Lead, mentor, and develop team members; perform regular team member check-ins.

- Manage method development, verification, validation and transfer efforts.

- Collaborate with other departments to resolve technical issues related to product development and testing.

- Harmonize operations with ARL-EuTech's vision, mission, culture, values, goals, and policies.

- Support team compliance with ARL-EuTech’s HR policies and procedures.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related discipline.

- 1-3 years of people management experience.

- 5+ years of technical experience in a GLP/GMP Chemistry testing laboratory.

- Have working knowledge of Wet chemistry and chromatographic methods including but not limited to HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS, ICP-MS and other routine chemistry tests including those for raw materials, bulk and finished products to support customer needs.

- Project management and analytical and medical device testing experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

- Ability to understand and analyze complex medical-scientific data.

- Excellent collaborative, verbal and written communication skills.

- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.

- Willingness to travel for business purposes.

- Proficiency in computerized systems and tools.

Preferred:

- Master’s degree with 3+ years of industry experience or Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of industry experience managing a GMP testing facility.

- National and/or professional certification relevant to job responsibilities.

- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
