We currently operate six high-tech greenhouse farms, with four new regional salad greenhouse hubs breaking ground to begin opening in 2024. BrightFarms' fresh lettuce options, from classic greens to crunchy mixes and salad kits, are available in more than 3,700 retail stores across the East Coast and Midwest.

The Food Safety and Quality team at BrightFarms is hiring a Technical Compliance Manger who will own the creation of SOPs, SSOPs, Policies, and Training Materials, focused on our farm quality and food safety systems. This role will be the central point of contact to create quality policies and procedures.The Technical Compliance Manager will:

Manage and create SOPs, SSOPs, Policies, & Training Material that adhere to regulatory (FDA, USDA, etc.) and applicable GFSI requirements for food manufacturing and agriculture industry

Disseminate technical information in easy-to-understand language or a non-technical audience

Assist other BrightFarmers in creating documentation

Meet with subject matter experts, suppliers, and consultants to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed

Review and/or edit content developed by other members of the team

Participate in the change management process to identify needs during new process rollouts

Support quality process requests as needed

Keep up to date with new industry regulation and trendsThe ideal candidate:

Has a Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Has manufacturing knowledge, 8-10 yrs experience within a leadership quality role in CPG, food or agriculture industry

Can travel up to 20%-40% across the network of farms to observe processes and collaborate with key stakeholders

Has excellent process writing skills. Interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills required to effectively build and implement quality and food safety programs

Possesses a collaborative team spirit, self-motivation, and strong attention to detail

Can work collaboratively with all levels of employees and management

Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic, and the ability to learn quickly and work in a highly collaborative team environment

Is experienced in Microsoft office. Experience using Microsoft Teams, Slack, and PowerBI preferred

Spanish fluency is a plusAdditional Notes:
