In this role, you have the opportunity to

Manage high impact, complex transfer projects that enables Philips to reduce risk, improve profitability, align with Philipsu2019 strategic supply base and optimize supply chain flexibility. The primary function within this role is to execute engineering activities through the course of fast-paced, high quality transfer projects.u00A0

You will be responsible for driving meaningful and innovative product development, generating ideas/concepts in feature development to improve quality and reduce cost, as well as performing the role of a technical lead in taking the product development through manufacturing release while transferring products between suppliers.u00A0

You are responsible for

Responsible for DFM and DFA activities & optimization of design for cost reduction.u00A0

Create DFMEA and identify relevant product risks.u00A0

Apply GD&T and perform Tolerance stack-up analysis for components/Sub-system.u00A0

Developing manufacturing specifications by using CAD tools like Solid works & Creo for modeling, assembly, detailing including drawing conversions & generating BoM.u00A0

Perform hand calculations to support the design and sound knowledge of Strength of Material.u00A0

Responsible for First Article Inspections and wherever required perform measurements.u00A0

Work with supplier, procurement engineer to complete the Prototype and qualifications.u00A0

Knowledge in Test fixtures design & development based on component/sub-system functionality.u00A0u00A0

Understand Requirements to design & perform unit level verifications to confirm with requirements.u00A0

Responsible for unit level testing and integration of unit in accordance with the higher-level Requirement and Design specifications / architectures.u00A0

Reliability and Serviceability of the system / subsystem / component.u00A0

Responsible for creating/updating DMR/DHF in the respective tools.u00A0

Perform FEA (if required)u00A0u00A0

Manage the obsolescence and product issuesu00A0

Effectively resolve customer complaints or production issuesu00A0

Manage the internal and external stakeholders effectivelyu00A0

Manage the multi-disciplinary cross functional team (R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Service, Marketing, Procurement, Quality, Regulatory,) to realize resultsu00A0

Prepare, plan, track and coordinate cross functional teams located across geographies and manage project deliverable.u00A0

Accountable for overall delivery of project in line with QMS and PRP process as per the agreed multi-site Quality Agreement.u00A0

Coaching and Supporting junior team membersu00A0

Ensuring business continuity and revenues.u00A0

M.Techu00A0/B.E/B.Techu00A0in Mechanical engineeringu00A0

8+u00A0years of relevant experience in design & developmentu00A0of mechanical sub-systems & systems.u00A0

Working Knowledge of structural design, CAD (Creating 3D models and manufacturing drawings), experience in FEA analysis is preferred.u00A0

Strong understanding ofu00A0Plastics,u00A0Sheet Metal, Machining, Welding & Surface treatments/coatings (Metals)u00A0and otheru00A0manufacturing processes.u00A0

Good at hand calculation of the designu00A0u00A0

Create DFMEA and identify relevant product risksu00A0u00A0

Identifying the suitable material, Creating EBOM, DFM/DFAu00A0u00A0

Experience in latest engineering design and methods, tools, and processesu00A0

Create functional requirement documentationu00A0u00A0

Working Knowledge of IEC 60601 standards is preferredu00A0u00A0

Disciplined team worker, ability to work independentlyu00A0
