Do you love data? Do you want to work with a modern data stack using DBT, Snowflake, Airflow, Looker, Databricks, Monte Carlo and learn about these tools or participate in choosing the next ones? Do you love SQL? Do you love transforming and orchestrating data? Do you enjoy working on a data team with version control, automated data testing and governing processes? As part of the Data Strategy team, you’ll participate in critical data model decisions, impacting and driving projects across our entire data stack, from collection/ingestion to processing and modeling with the aim of empowering our people to inform their decisions with quality data.

What you’ll be doing:

Scale and evolve our data model optimized for simplicity, accessibility, performance, scalability and reliability. Ensure a smooth and organic growth of our data models;

Design and implement diverse strategies to meet existing requirements while anticipating the future needs of our internal clients;

Build and optimize ETL processes for the core data model, integrating additional data sources as needed;

Build up and optimize our data model into our BI Tool (Looker via LookML) including creating and maintaining data sources, custom metrics and dashboards. Contribute towards the strategy and design of self-service analytics reporting;

Optimize data ingestion and transformation in our multi-terabyte data lake and data warehouse platform;

Act as a referent for our Data Scientists, providing guidance and expertise as they build and produce their data pipelines, minimizing redundancies, inefficiencies and technical debt;

Work closely with data analysts, data scientists and backend engineers to understand business requirements and provide data ready for analysis;

Apply software engineering best practices like version control and continuous integration to the analytics code base. Select and instrument data quality tools and processes.

What you need to succeed:

Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or similar fields;

Around 4-5 years of experience in a similar role;

Strong coding skills in one or more languages (SQL, Python, etc.);

Experience with high-volume tracking events ingestion and processing;

Experience with data transformation frameworks/tools;

Prior experience modeling data into BI tools;

A rare combination of technical skills, business mindset and communication skills, able to persuade and influence data product stakeholders;

Strong curiosity, problem-finding and problem-solving skills;

Creative mindset and a proactive attitude towards the creation and evaluation of new solutions;

Good written and verbal communication skills. C1 English is a must.

Nice to have:

Previous experience scaling start-ups infrastructure;

Having work experience or knowledge of DBT;

Previous experience with Looker;

Experience developing critical data processes to standardized definition of KPIs and taxonomy of events across medium/big organizations;

Knowledge of coordination tools (Airflow, Luigi, Jenkins, etc.);

Working experience with the AWS stack/Google Cloud Platform.
