Roles & Responsibilities

Carry out Mechanical design of process equipment like pressure vessels,columns,reactors,heat exchangers and tanks etc., Preparation of Matarial requisition, Technical evaluation of vendor offers, order specification and review of vendor drawings.

He/She should be able to manage multiple projects as Lead Engineer and responsible for the proper and timely execution.

He/she is also responsible for ensuring that Dept./Disciplines quality management system is followed taking into account any special contractual requirements.

He/she should have involved in development and implementation of activities such the latest technology and methods to improve efficiency, accuracy and productivity for the department.

Other Functions: 1)Exposure to other international codes and standards

2)Participation in 3D model reviews

3)Knowledge in proprietary equipment like FRP, Aircooled exchangers, Plate type heat exchangers, equipment etc.

4)Knowledge in Flare systems and Fired heaters

5)Experience in preparation of FEED documents, PMC projects etc.

6)Should be able to lead and guide a group of engineers.

7)Good communication skills,verbal and written so as to communicate with client and lead offices

8)Have good understanding of requirements of other groups.

9)Should have leadership qualities

10)Good presentation skills

11)Be able to mentor Juniors

12)Undertake developmental activities like preparation of work instructions/Technical guides/specifications

13)Understanding of project requirements like productivity/schedule workhour control etc.

Qualification & Experience

Mechanical/Chemical Engineering degree is a must.

Minimum 20 years experience of working in the static equipment design group of a leading engineering consultancy or in the design office of a reputed process equipment fabricator.

Minimum 10-12 years in static equipment of consultancy organisation

Knowledge of material specifications used in the design and construction of process equipment. Knowledge and experiance of working with latest international codes like ASME section VIII Div 1 and Div 2, TEMA, API 650,API 620, IS 2825 and IBR etc..

Candidate should be well conversant with the use of softwares like PV Elite, Compress and hands on knowledge of PDS/PDMS
