MD - Credit Underwriting (Natural Resources)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Implementing underwriting responsibilities in alignment with global and regional strategies, including:

Applying best practices in credit analysis, underwriting, and monitoring throughout the underwriting process, from initial discussions to credit approval memos and senior approval forums.

Managing resources and acting as a primary contact for team escalations/guidance.

Conducting detailed reviews of financial analysis, due diligence, projection modeling, stress testing, risk rating, and other comprehensive analyses conducted by junior staff.

Reviewing and approving Credit Approval Memos (CAM) packages.

Collaborating with Front Office on structuring and developing term sheets for new transactions.

Cultivating relationships with key clients in Banking and Risk, as well as with regulators, Internal Audit, and control functions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

15+ years of relevant experience in banking/financial institutions, including 10+ years of managerial experience.

Senior Credit Officer designation preferred.

Ability to engage effectively with regulators, internal control functions, and external audit.

Demonstrated ethics and integrity.

Strong decision-making skills under pressure.

Excellent communication, presentation, influencing, and negotiation skills.

Ability to work under tight deadlines, manage priorities, and complete tasks independently.
