Adecco Creative and Marketing is recruting a Director of Marketing and Development, Events for a locally controlled, nonprofit agency operated by people with disabilities for people with disabilities. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Director of Marketing and Development will play a pivotal role in leading the development department of the company. They will be tasked with creating and executing a comprehensive marketing and development strategy aimed at generating revenue and fostering donor relationships. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record in fundraising and marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead efforts to raise $3-4.5 million annually, with plans to grow by $6 million over the next three years, leveraging corporate, individual, foundation, and government funding opportunities.

Identify and implement new revenue streams to increase sustainable unrestricted, private revenue.

Develop and implement a schedule of fundraising and grant-writing activities, including organization and program special events.

Establish and grow a framework for individual giving, incorporating estate planning, sustainers, and bequests.

Collaborate with the CEO to develop and execute a multi-year capital campaign.

Cultivate existing funder relationships and forge new partnerships to support organizational activities.

Evaluate and leverage new technology funding vehicles, such as social media and eGiving, to enhance fundraising efforts.

Plan, evaluate, and implement short-term and long-term fundraising plans to meet operational, capital, and programmatic needs.

Board and Senior Staff Leadership:

Work closely with the Executive Team and Development Board Committee to develop and implement a cohesive development strategy.

Assist in recruiting and cultivating new board members, ensuring diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) are prioritized.

Attend and report on development activities at board meetings and committee meetings in coordination with the CEO.

Collaborate with the CEO and Leadership Team to develop solicitation materials and maintain compliance with funding requirements.

Conduct "Friends of Independence Tours" and personalized tours for community representatives to foster engagement and support.

Event Management and Communication:

Manage the annual Breakfast "Ask" event and the 5 Year Gala, overseeing internal and external communications.

Lead grant-writing activities, including evaluating and responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).

Report on media relations, fundraising, and fund development activities to the Board of Directors.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or related field (Master's degree preferred).

Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, marketing, or development, preferably in a nonprofit setting.

Proven track record of successfully raising funds and meeting revenue targets.

Strong leadership abilities with experience managing teams and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate the organization's mission and impact effectively.

Familiarity with fundraising software, donor databases, and digital marketing tools.
