Our client at LHH is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in supporting litigation attorneys in a fast-paced environment. As a Litigation Legal Secretary, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative and clerical support to our attorneys, ensuring the smooth operation of our litigation department.
Responsibilities:
Case Management: Assist attorneys in managing all aspects of litigation cases, including organizing case files, drafting correspondence, and maintaining case calendars and deadlines.
Document Preparation: Prepare and format legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and subpoenas with precision and attention to detail.
Court Filings: File legal documents electronically and in person with various courts, ensuring compliance with court rules and deadlines.
Client Communication: Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel, both in person and via phone and email.
Calendar Management: Maintain attorneys' calendars, schedule meetings, hearings, and depositions, and coordinate travel arrangements as needed.
Billing and Timekeeping: Assist with time entry and billing tasks, including preparing client invoices and tracking billable hours.
Legal Research: Conduct legal research using online databases and resources to support attorneys in case preparation and strategy.
Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support, such as answering phones, managing incoming and outgoing mail, and ordering office supplies.
Confidentiality: Handle confidential information with the utmost discretion and maintain the highest standards of professionalism and ethics.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience working as a legal secretary in a litigation practice, with a strong understanding of litigation procedures and terminology.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), legal case management software, and electronic court filing systems.
Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and data entry.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and courteously with clients and colleagues.

Education:
